Weekend in Gillette, WY
We spent Saturday and half of Sunday in Gillette, Wyoming for a big celebration...Garry's cousin Darin & Cassie got married! It really was quite the event! We drove into town early Saturday afternoon, got situated in our hotel room, then Emma and I headed off to the pool for a little swimming action! She has a new BodyGlove swimsuit that has a life vest-thing built into it, so we wanted to try it out. Emma has always loved swimming and being in the water, but she was fearless! She jumped off the side of the pool into my arms, again and again and again! We practiced blowing bubbles in the water, and kicked, kicked, kicked! When it was time to go get ready for the wedding, we had a difficult time getting her out of the water. The wedding was very nice, and the reception was a BLAST. At first, Emma wasn't sure how to react to her surroundings, but after a little bit, she became very comfortable with her surroundings. There was a dance floor, but nobody was dancing. Garry and Emma walked out onto the dance floor and started to dance, which ended up bringing all of the other little kids out to dance. Emma really turned out to be the leader of the dance floor. As soon as she would leave, everyone else would, too. But as soon as she would come back onto the floor, they would follow. Emma was happy to see her new cousin Dayton (Cassie's little boy). He has come to visit us a few times, and they get along very well. They followed each other around the dance floor all night. Em's cousin Jayla was also showing off her dance moves. Finally, at 10:15, Em (and I) started to get tired, so we retired for the evening, and conked out in our room until the next morning. We had a lot of fun seeing family, and are very happy for Darin and Cassie.
I'll show you mine....
